Our Sweetie Cart made an appearance at the Hilton Dunkeld on Saturday. Dressed nicely in purple to match the wedding colours.
Judging by the empty sweet bowls it was well liked by all :)

Congratulations to Jillian and Paula. Silver Gilt medalists at Chelsea Flower Show "Florist of the Year 2012"

We are all excited to let you know that Paula and Jillian have returned home with a Silver Gilt medal each! The competition was tough with the quality of work on show and the margins were so tight.
To win a Silver gilt at the first attempt is magnificent all at Something Special Flowers wish to that our flower sponsor; J Van Vliet (Zwetzloot)ltd. for their support and also to everyone who followed our journey throughout the week giving us the boost required when things got tough.

Paula wins Silver Gilt Medal at Chelsea Flower Show "florist of the Year 2012"

Congratulations to Paula for her Silver Gilt medal at the very first time of asking! she is a true talent. Next up is Jillian in the senior section of Florist of the Year. This is a very rare occasion when two florists from the same business have qualified. Probably the only time ever that two florists not only from the same company but the same family. It's in the genes. both have the burden of being the only qualifiers from Scotland on their shoulders, but we know how talented they are!

Chelsea Flower Show florist of the year 2012. Update.

18 days to go.
Having trouble with the logistics of getting the flowers we need down to Chelsea in time and in top condition for the competition. I think we will have to cancel our flights and drive down. That will mean arriving in London later than planned. Paula is first to desplay her undoubted talents. She will have to get her preperations done in time for her slot on Monday morning at 6.30am. This will put a bit of pressure on , but she will be able to relax and enjoy the rest of the week having had her pice judged on the Monday. Then it is down to Jillian who sets up her display on the Wednesday evening. Work has already started on the girls designs which are to be Chandelier's to represent the Jubilee.
